Job Title: Business Solutions Manager

Our client, a leading transportation and infrastructure organization, is seeking an experienced Business Solutions Manager to support a strategic Energy Management initiative and ensure business and technology solutions continue to evolve in alignment with organizational objectives.
Acting as a trusted advisor to both business and technology stakeholders, this role will lead requirements gathering, solution definition, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination activities. The successful candidate will help translate business needs into practical technology solutions while supporting delivery, testing, implementation, and operational readiness.
This position is well suited for a senior Business Analyst or Business Solutions professional with strong experience working across operational, utility, energy management, and data-driven business environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead stakeholder workshops and requirements-gathering sessions across multiple business units
- Analyze business needs and translate strategic objectives into functional and system requirements
- Define solution scope, objectives, business cases, and success criteria
- Partner with technical teams to support solution design, development, testing, implementation, and transition to operations
- Lead quality assurance activities, including test planning, test execution oversight, and user acceptance validation
- Coordinate small to medium-sized initiatives, including planning, scheduling, status reporting, and risk management
- Identify dependencies, risks, and opportunities for process and technology improvements
- Support change management, implementation reviews, user adoption, and knowledge transfer activities
- Develop and maintain business, functional, and technical documentation to support governance and operational sustainability
- Provide consulting and advisory services to business and technology stakeholders on solution options and best practices
- Support data-driven decision making through the integration, analysis, and validation of operational and business data sources
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Business Systems Analysis, or Business Solutions roles
- Experience working on complex, cross-functional business and technology initiatives
- Strong requirements gathering, process analysis, stakeholder engagement, and solution design experience
- Experience integrating and analyzing data across multiple systems and platforms
- Experience working with operational, utility, industrial, asset management, or building systems data
- Experience validating data quality, consistency, and reporting accuracy
- Strong understanding of business process improvement and data-driven decision-making practices
- Degree or diploma in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline
- Excellent communication, facilitation, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Business Analysis (BABOK), ITIL, Project Management, or related certifications
- Experience working with energy management, sustainability, utility, or operational performance initiatives
- Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS/BMS), electrical metering systems, or utility data platforms
- Experience within transportation, infrastructure, industrial, or asset-intensive environments
- Knowledge of carbon reduction programs, emissions reporting, or regulatory sustainability frameworks
- Experience working with vendor ecosystems, procurement frameworks, or enterprise data platforms
