Job Title: Project Coordinator (Part-time)

6-month contract (Approximately 20 hours/week to start) | Hybrid in the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan Area | Hourly Rate: $50-60/hour | Must hold a valid Canadian Work Visa

Our client, a leading Canadian airport authority, is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the delivery of a major operational technology initiative. Working alongside two Project Managers, this role will focus on project coordination, procurement support, documentation management, and issue tracking to help ensure successful project delivery from implementation through operational handover.

This is a hands-on coordination role best suited for someone who thrives on organization, enjoys keeping projects on track, and is comfortable managing multiple administrative and coordination activities simultaneously. While previous technology project experience is beneficial, the primary focus is on strong project coordination skills, exceptional attention to detail, and experience working with JIRA.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and administer the project's JIRA deficiency tracking tool, ensuring issues, action items, and project updates remain accurate, current, and well managed
  • Support ongoing project procurement activities by coordinating and tracking Demand Requests (DRs), Purchase Requisitions (PRs), and Purchase Orders (POs)
  • Provide day-to-day coordination support to two Project Managers, including preparing meeting notes, tracking action items, and coordinating onsite project activities
  • Support post-Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) activities by ensuring project documentation and deliverables are complete, coordinating spare equipment procurement, and assisting with the transition of project assets to IT Operations and Support
  • Maintain organized project documentation, records, and project artifacts throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and project stakeholders to support project execution and timely completion of deliverables
  • Assist with project communications, scheduling, and other administrative activities as required

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a Project Coordinator, Project Administrator, PMO Coordinator, or similar project support role
  • Strong hands-on experience using JIRA for issue, task, or deficiency tracking
  • Experience supporting procurement processes, including Purchase Requisitions (PRs), Purchase Orders (POs), or similar purchasing workflows
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience preparing meeting notes, tracking action items, and maintaining project documentation
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and SharePoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using IBM Maximo for procurement or asset-related processes
  • Experience supporting technology, infrastructure, capital, or operational projects
  • Experience working within large enterprise or public sector environments

This is an excellent opportunity for an organized and proactive Project Coordinator to support a high-profile operational technology initiative while working alongside experienced Project Managers in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

NOTE: Interested candidates who meet the above qualifications are encouraged to apply directly. Due to the volume of applications, only those shortlisted will be contacted.
