SAP S/4HANA Trainers (Multiple Streams)

Contract Opportunity | Alberta / BC Region (Travel Required)


Benchmark Recruitment is hiring on behalf of a high-profile client undergoing a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation.


Project Overview

This is a major ERP implementation program focused on driving successful SAP S/4HANA adoption across a complex, multi-site operational environment. The project involves training a large and diverse workforce, including both corporate users and frontline hourly teams. Training will be delivered at scale across multiple locations, with a strong emphasis on change management, user readiness, and sustained adoption. The engagement spans multiple phases, including early onboarding and business familiarization, training delivery, go-live support, and hypercare. Trainers will be embedded within the business to build relationships, understand operations, and support users through the full transition.


Travel across sites within the Alberta and British Columbia region will be required.


Role Description

As an SAP S/4HANA Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering hands-on, role-based training to end users across a variety of functional areas. This includes facilitating classroom and virtual sessions, supporting pre-training engagement, and reinforcing business processes throughout the program. You will work closely with change management and business stakeholders to ensure users are prepared for go-live and confident in using the new system.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering instructor-led SAP S/4HANA training sessions (classroom and virtual)
  • Supporting users across functional areas such as Finance, Maintenance, Warehousing, and Projects
  • Reviewing and becoming proficient in pre-developed training materials, including user guides and system simulations
  • Reinforcing end-to-end business processes and cross-functional integration during training
  • Providing pre-training system walkthroughs and “light training” sessions to build early familiarity
  • Engaging directly with frontline operational teams to support adoption in high-volume environments
  • Supporting go-live activities and providing post-launch hypercare assistance
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive user readiness and adherence to standard processes


Requirements:

  • Proven experience delivering SAP S/4HANA training within large-scale ERP implementations
  • Strong functional knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
  • Finance (FI/CO)
  • Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)
  • Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)
  • Project Systems (PS)
  • Demonstrated ability to train both corporate users and frontline hourly workforces
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience working in complex, operational environments such as mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry is preferred
  • Ability to work onsite and travel between locations as required
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-volume training environment
