Job Title: Electronic Records Specialist
9-month contract | Hybrid in the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan Area | Must hold a valid Canadian Work Visa
Our client, a provincial regulatory organization, is seeking an Electronic Records Specialist to support the administration, enhancement, and continuous improvement of its Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS).
Working as part of the Technology and Project Services team, you will help develop records management policies, maintain electronic records systems, support information governance initiatives, and deliver training to staff across the organization. This role combines technology, information management, and stakeholder engagement, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their career in electronic records management and information governance.

Responsibilities:
- Support the administration, maintenance, and enhancement of the organization's Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS)
- Develop, implement, and maintain records management policies, procedures, and information governance practices
- Configure and maintain SharePoint Online, Microsoft Purview, metadata, permissions, security groups, and user access
- Provide Tier 2 support for records management systems and assist users with system-related issues
- Develop and deliver training materials, onboarding resources, user guides, and coaching sessions for staff
- Conduct audits of electronic records and information storage locations to promote compliance with records management policies
- Coordinate records retention, semi-active storage, records destruction, and disposition activities
- Perform quality assurance reviews of scanned records and electronic document processes
- Support internal records handling and document lifecycle management processes
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to improve records management practices and encourage adoption of information governance standards
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Information Management, Library & Information Studies, Records Management, Information Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline

1–3 years of experience supporting electronic records management, information governance, records administration, or a related field (recent graduates with relevant co-op, internship, or practicum experience are encouraged to apply)
- Familiarity with records and information management principles, records retention, classification, and information governance best practices
- Experience using Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint Online
- Familiarity with Microsoft Purview (Compliance Manager) or a willingness to learn
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working both independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting or administering an Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS)
- Experience developing training materials or delivering user training
- Familiarity with records management legislation, regulatory compliance, or information governance frameworks
- Knowledge of Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Compliance Manager, or Microsoft Information Protection
- Experience with Operational Records Classification Systems (ORCS) or records retention schedules
- Experience working in government, regulatory, legal, or other highly regulated environments
- Graduate studies or coursework in Information Management, Library & Information Studies, Archives, or Records Management
