Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer (Manual Testing)
6-month contract | 100% on-site in Downtown Vancouver | Must hold a valid Canadian Work Visa
Our client, a global leader in ship management and maritime services, is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer (Manual Testing) to support ongoing software initiatives across enterprise applications and digital modernization programs.
This role requires a detail-oriented QA professional who excels in manual testing, collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, and ensures high-quality software delivery in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with internal project teams, vendor partners, business stakeholders, and developers to validate complex system functionality, integrations, and user workflows.
Responsibilities:
Manual Testing & Quality Validation

Develop, execute, and maintain manual test cases for frontend applications, integrations, and end-to-end solutions.

Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing across multiple platforms.

Conduct API testing and validate integrations between internal systems and third-party providers.

Apply risk-based testing strategies to ensure appropriate test depth and coverage.
Collaboration & Delivery
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, vendors, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.

Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint reviews, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

Report and track defects in Jira, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.

Support testing activities across cloud-based environments, including Azure-hosted solutions.
Documentation & Process
- Create clear test documentation, including test plans, test cases, expected results, and replication steps.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and quality standards.
Qualifications:
Required

5+ years of hands-on experience in manual QA testing for web or frontend applications.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and SDLC/STLC processes.

Experience performing functional, regression, integration, and API testing.

Proficiency with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work onsite full-time and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have

Experience working in Azure or other cloud-based platforms.

Exposure to performance testing or usability testing methodologies.
- Background in maritime, logistics, or operational technology environments (asset, not required).
