6-month contract | Primarily, preferably in BC or Alberta | Must hold a valid Canadian Work Visa
Our client, a major organization within the natural resources sector, is seeking an experienced Contract Recruiter to support full-cycle recruitment for permanent staff-level positions across operational and corporate functions. This role requires a hands-on recruiter who can manage the entire hiring lifecycle — from intake and sourcing through interviews, offers, and onboarding coordination.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced industrial environment and be comfortable partnering directly with hiring managers across site operations, maintenance, engineering, supply chain, and corporate support teams.
Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment activities from intake and sourcing through interviews, selection, offers, and onboarding coordination
- Partner closely with hiring managers to understand workforce planning needs, hiring priorities, and candidate profile requirements
- Source, screen, and assess candidates for operational, technical, and professional roles supporting industrial and site operations
- Participate actively in interviews alongside hiring managers, evaluating candidate fit, communication style, motivation, and team alignment
- Provide hiring recommendations and recruitment guidance throughout the selection process
- Support recruitment across functions including engineering, warehouse, supply chain, maintenance, operations, trades, and other site-based roles
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing, networking, and market engagement
- Coordinate interview scheduling, candidate communication, offers, and recruitment administration
- Deliver a strong candidate experience while managing multiple concurrent requisitions in a high-volume environment
Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing true end-to-end/full-cycle recruitment for permanent employee hiring
- Previous recruitment experience supporting mining, natural resources, heavy industrial, manufacturing, energy, or other operational environments strongly preferred
- Experience recruiting for operational and technical positions including engineering, maintenance, warehouse, supply chain, trades, and operations roles
- Comfortable participating directly in interviews and providing hiring recommendations to leaders and hiring managers
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence hiring decisions and guide recruitment processes
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions and competing priorities while remaining highly organized and responsive
- Excellent communication, interviewing, and candidate assessment skills
