Job Title: SAP Training Consultant (6 Positions)

5-month contract | Hybrid / Site-Based Operational Environment (Occasional travel to operational or mine sites required) | Must hold a valid Canadian Work Visa


Our client, a major organization within the natural resources and industrial operations sector, is seeking multiple experienced SAP Training Consultants to support a large-scale SAP transformation initiative across maintenance, warehouse, supply chain, and operational teams.

These roles will focus on developing and delivering practical, hands-on training to frontline users, supervisors, and operational teams to support successful adoption of new SAP processes and systems. The successful candidates will work closely with business stakeholders, super users, functional teams, and change management leads to ensure training aligns with real-world operational workflows in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver instructor-led and hands-on SAP training for operational and maintenance teams
  • Support end users across maintenance, warehouse, inventory, procurement, supply chain, and operational functions
  • Translate business processes and SAP functionality into practical, easy-to-understand training content for frontline users
  • Create and maintain training materials including User guides, Quick reference guides, Process documentation, Training presentations, Exercises and simulations
  • Conduct training needs assessments with operational stakeholders and business teams
  • Facilitate classroom, virtual, onsite, and field-based training sessions across multiple departments
  • Support user readiness activities leading up to go-live
  • Assist with super user and train-the-trainer program development and coordination
  • Provide post-go-live floor support and user assistance during stabilization periods
  • Gather user feedback and recommend improvements to training materials and delivery methods
  • Collaborate with change management teams, SAP functional consultants, and operational leaders to ensure alignment between training content and business processes


Qualifications:

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of experience delivering training within mining, industrial, manufacturing, heavy operations, or operational environments
  • Experience supporting SAP implementations or ERP transformation programs
  • Strong understanding of operational workflows including Maintenance operations, Warehouse and inventory management, Supply chain and procurement processes, Operational or field-based environments
  • Experience developing training materials for frontline operational users
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience delivering training to large operational teams in fast-paced environments
  • Ability and willingness to travel to operational or mine sites as required

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with SAP PM (Plant Maintenance), MM (Materials Management), or related SAP modules
  • Previous experience within mining or natural resources environments
  • Experience supporting organizational change and user adoption initiatives
  • Familiarity with maintenance planning, work management, and inventory control processes
  • Experience working within unionized or multi-site operational environments

Work Environment

  • Combination of office, remote, and operational site environments
  • Frequent interaction with frontline operations personnel, planners, warehouse teams, supervisors, and project stakeholders
  • Travel to operational or mine sites may be required during training delivery and go-live phases
